Conserve Weapons is a Power skill in Dying Light.
Overview[]
Melee weapons used will lose durability at a slower rate with this skill unlocked. Due to its nature as a passive skill with no random elements, it is rather risk-free investment similar to Sturdiness or Backpacker. It's mainly useful when resources to upgrade weapons are scarce, forcing the user to make the most out of their current upgraded weapon. The only way its usefulness is mitigated is if the player has a habit of losing their melee weapons (usually via the Melee Throw skill) or if they prefer the use of ranged weapons
Due to its purpose of keeping melee weapons at use for longer, it is on par with Lucky Repair, the aforementioned skill being able to give an entire repair slot at random, making it a higher risk investment. It is suggested to prioritize this over Lucky Repair should the player need to conserve the durability of their melee weapons due to unreliability of the other skill.
