The Buzz Killer is a weapon modification that appears in Dying Light. Its blueprint can be acquired at the start of the game through the Ultimate Survivor Bundle DLC pack. It applies a medium bleeding effect, turns the affected weapon into a sharp weapon, and can only be used on Sledgehammers
Overview[]
This weapon essentially turns a sledgehammer into a sharp weapon. While this doesn't seem like much, Sledgehammers are the only blunt heavy weapons, meaning they lack the ability to dismember infected. The Buzz Killer removes this weakness, making it as competent as Axes and Pickaxes at crowd control. However, like large weapons, the slow attack/swing speed means the Buzz Killer is terrible for fast infected such as Virals and Volatiles. That said, it's excellent for slow moving Goons and out of breath Demolishers.
