"Dying Lunch" is an optional challenge available in Dying Light and completing each challenge successfully will count towards the I'm a Runner and a Fighter achievement or trophy.
Dying Lunch is a series of side challenges given by a character called Irwin Snowberg.
- You can find this director on top of a building in the Southwest.
- First challenge: Kill 40 zombies with a shotgun. ( A tip: there seems to be a lot gathered if you immediately turn left towards the train tracks when it starts) Reward: $500 and 2500 Power XP.
- Second challenge: Kill 60 zombies using a machine gun, there are Virals in this one so be careful. Reward: $500 and 2500 Power XP.
- Third challenge: Kill 30 zombies by headshots. For this, get used to the weapon and take your time. Reward: $1000 and 2500 Power XP.

Irwin Snowberg, a famous zombie movie director, has graced Harran with his presence! Of course, I've never heard of him. And I'm not surprised I haven't, since he's looking for production cost-cutting opportunities in the Quarantine. I'm supposed to shoot the infected and he is going to film it, to save on special effects. The acting opportunity of a lifetime...

Tips[]
You can gather a lot of resources from this challenge if you keep failing it on purpose. It is recommended to finish the first part of the challenge with the shotgun, then keep re-playing the second part over and over. Do not kill 60 zombies with the machine gun, let the kill counter sit at 58 and wait for the timer to run out. Once the timer runs out, you can collect the drops from the area where the challenge takes place, or repeat the challenge again to generate more drops. The game converts dead bodies into wrapped packages after some time, which can be picked up easily, making this an excellent spot to farm items like alcohol, string, metal parts, money and so on.

Irwin Snowberg is an obvious reference to Steven Spielberg. His first name seems a reference to Steve (Steven) Irwin, a famous croc wrestler from the 90's. His last name 'Snowberg' seems to be randomly picked.
