During the events of the Harran Global Athletic Games, Ali served as a concierge at the Hotel Harran. He informed the English athlete Lucy about the mysterious outbreak of violent incidents throughout Harran. He also informed her about mysterious disappearances happening throughout the city at the same time. As he conversed with Lucy he appeared to be very scared of the ramifications of the unfolding events.[1]
He is a survivor sent to the Pumping Station to barter with Tarkan and his gang of bandits, on behalf of the survivors at Jasir's Farm. However, two of Ali's companions are killed and he is taken prisoner by the gang.
During the main story questGaining Credence, Kyle Crane arrives at the Pumping Station and kills Tarkan and his gang before discovering Ali and liberating him. Ali attempts to restart the station, but the bandits have sabotaged the system and Crane must quickly travel down the pipeline to a shut-off valve in order to stop the pipes from bursting. Following this, Ali remains at the station to provide basic maintenance.
Crane:"Jasir sent me - or, well, Ezgi did. You're one of the three who got lost?" Ali:"The only one left. I am Ali. They got thrown to that... that beast." Crane:"Listen, Ali, this place has to be at least sort of operational. Otherwise the bandits wouldn't have had any water." Ali:"The bandits have water here... But there is none at the farm. Perhaps we can redirect it... (Starts using the generators) All right... here goes nothing... Cross your fingers! If we did that right, in a couple of minutes there'll be water at the farm again. (Generators turn off) It's not working. Why is it not working? Oh shit. (Pipes start leaking water) Shit! They must've closed it! And this equipment's fucking ancient... If the pipes burst, we are all well and truly fucked." Crane:"I'll get the valve open. Where is it?" Ali:"Beats the shit out of me! All I know is, it ain't here. Follow the pipeline! And for fuck's sake, hurry! Go! I'll keep trying on this end! Go! And hurry!"

At the smaller pumping station:
— Crane:"Ali, I'm at some kind of pumping station. The pipeline ends here." Ali:"Then look for the main valve, goddammit! This fucking alarm won't shut up!"

After turning the valve:
— Crane:"Ali? I got it, but the place was already flooded... So now, what, we just wait?" Ali:"Yes, now it should be just a matter of time..." Crane:"So we're good?" Ali:"We're better than good. I think you just saved all our asses. Get back to the farm... I'll tell Jasir you're all right... you know... for a stranger."
Crane:"...The hell is going on here?" Ali:"Well, if it isn't Kyle Crane! Great to see you! And this? This is the Mother's blessing! He's one of the Faceless." Crane:"Great, I need to ask him something..." Ali:"Don't you dare disturb him! His prayers are what's protecting us, don't you understand?" Crane:"Okay, okay, I won't bother him. But I do have something for you - Bilal sends his best." Ali:"That bastard!" Crane:"So... that's it? You're good to get the power running? Need anything else?" Ali:"...Actually, yes, since you're offering. When this ancient piece of shit broke down, the main transfer switch must've thrown. It'll need resetting." Crane:"Where is it?" Ali:"Inside the dam. And I'm pretty much done here, so, well, the faster you get to it, the better."

After throwing the switch:
— Crane:"Ali? I'm inside. Throwing the switch now." Ali:"Great! ...but it didn't work, man. Try to find the main transfer switch... It must be somewhere in there. Please, hurry."

While throwing the real main switch:
— Ali:"Hello? The Faceless says we have to wrap this thing up. Please, try to get it done ASAP. Hello? Crane? The Faceless said we have to pack up and go. I couldn't finish the job. Hurry up, man. We're moving to one of the shacks in the plant. Join us once you're done there, all right?"

On the way back:
— Ali:"Crane?! I managed to hide! But the Faceless stayed outside and I don't know what's going on there. It sounds horrible!"

At the shack:
— Ali:"I won't go out until it's safe! Tell me when it's safe!"

After clearing the infected:
— Crane:"Okay, I think you're safe now. Jesus, what happened?" Ali:"I don't know! He just said we gotta go now, and led me here. Told me to get inside and lock the door." Crane:"Well, he's dead now." Ali:"May the Mother bless his soul." Crane:"Let's go, Ali. You said you needed to finish something out there, right?" Ali:"Yeah. I was almost done. Just need to flip some switches." Crane:"I'll stand guard while you're doing it. Ready?" Ali:"Yeah. Let's go. The sooner we're done with this the better."

After the power is back online:
— Crane:"So... the power's back on? For good?" Ali:"It's back on for now, but with this old, rusty, broken-ass equipment? I make you no promises." Crane:"Fair enough. I'll be heading out, then. You coming?" Ali:"Nah... this place is safe now, right? I'll just hang out here, observe for a while. Make sure it doesn't all break down the moment my back is turned."
