Stomp is a Power skill in Dying Light.
Overview[]
Stomp is an exceptionally useful finisher in the player's arsenal for several reasons. For one, it is a common occurrence for enemies to be knocked down in a fight, even when their legs are intact. This allows player to take advantage of this pivotal moment by saving them the time of having to beat the downed enemy to death and thus make combat much more efficient.
The second useful attribute is to allow players to bypass health and armor. This is especially through for Biters with rubber suits or most importantly, Gas Tanks. These enemies are extremely resistant, almost immune to dismemberment which normally helps with cutting fights short. Gas Tanks are also quite risky to fight as they can explode, forcing caution when fighting them. This skill allows players to simply knock them down which can usually be done with a number of kicks before finally finishing them off with ease.
The last useful attribute is to deal with climbing Virals. It allows one to take down a number of them simply by zipping towards vans and ledges and killing off any that approach. Overall, it is an incredibly useful and versatile skill and more specific applications will be listed below.

Tactics[]
- When dealing with Virals once this skill is acquired. If a viral is closing in, quickly climb to a higher point, and once they attempt to do the same you can quickly dispatch them. While simple, this can be game changing when applied correctly, especially if deprived of weapons.
- Various skills that knock down multiple enemies can allow the player to stomp and kill large hordes. Some examples include Stun bolt, Windmill, Ground Pound, Shields with the claymore upgrade, explosives, etc. It is highly suggested to deal with any present Virals before using any of these because they can get up very quickly.
- This skill does make the Tackle Skill quite useful due to the impact usually causing infected to be knocked down. The same can be said about Leg Breaker though it is already a very powerful skill against individual opponents.
- Sometimes when standing on a ledge of a van or something of similar height, Biters reaching towards the player can be stomped.
- As with all insta-kill skills, it does not work on Volatiles and other large enemies.

- As shown with the ability to kill reaching Biters, it seems that this prompt appears whenever an enemy's head is in reach of the player's legs
