Higher Education is the ninth story quest available in Dying Light.[1]
Objectives[]
- Talk to Jade at the University
- Ask survivors about Jade
- Leave the University
- View the transmission Troy captured
- Troy's freaking out about a recent news report on TV and she showed it to me. Apparently the mysterious GRE file got released after all, but that's not the problem. The problem is the Ministry claims they evacuated all the survivors from Harran and intend to firebomb the city.
Walkthrough[]
Having finally met Troy in person, Crane attempts to make contact with Jade, but she is uncooperative. Because of the threat that the Ministry plans to bomb the city, Troy tells Crane that Jade was lost located at the University, and recommends going there. On the way over, she also contacts Crane about plans to break through the radio jamming and to inform him of more dangerous infected.
Upon arriving at the University, Dawud can be heard over the radio, panicked about being bitten. Crane can also talk to the guard about whether or not he's seen Jade:
Crane: "Hey, buddy, have you seen a woman named Jade Aldemir? She's got long dark hair, she's tough as nails?"
Guard: "Yeah, she was talking to what's-his-name over there."
Crane: "Thanks."
Head inside the university to search for Jade. It quickly becomes clear that she is not there, so speak to Fidan. He will inform Crane that Jade was there not too long ago, and she left a picture of Amir for Crane, with the word "Not again" being left with it. Leave the University and try to contact Jade, to no avail. Contact Troy again instead.
Troy says something serious has happened after breaking through the jamming, so get back to the safe zone and see what is going on. Upon arrival, it becomes clear that a news broadcast is being watched, with a headline stating "Epidemic under control", marked as breaking news. The screen claims that the "Government gathered for an emergency crisis meeting". Watch the broadcast and speak to Troy about her plan to finish the quest.
