Harran is based in South America[]
Harran is based in the Western Hemisphere off (revealed in Search Lights Quest) and is based off of Rio De Janeiro (revealed at several early conventions and confirmed by people living in Brazil). The real city of Harran is a land locked city based in the middle of Mesopotamia and is in a Desert climate with mud brick houses. Additionally during the escort quest for Omar he remarks he likes to fish in the sea (another word for Ocean) showing that Harran is connected to the ocean not a lake like the real city of Harran is.
Seriously? Have you ever seen a city in south America where everyone's name is Abdel, Jamila, Amir, ...
I'm considering cutting down the "Events of Dying Light" section. This is an article about Harran, and most of that information is irrelevant to a history of the city itself. Considering I wrote that section myself, I don't think I'll be stepping on anyone's toes.
